- A heat pump water heater uses 60% less energy by moving heat rather than generating it. Less energy means more savings on your bill.
- It provides you with more control over your water temperature via different operating modes, including a “vacation” mode for when you’re gone.
- They can help dehumidify damp spaces, such as your garage or basement where they are typically installed.
- Electric hybrid water heaters typically come with 10-year warranties, and have an average life span of 13 years.

- Your new heat pump water heater should be located in a space with a minimum 750 cubic feet. 例如, in a basement with 7-foot ceilings, a water heater would need open floor space of roughly 10.5 by 10.5 feet around the unit.
- For the most efficient operation, the air temperature where the water heater is installed should average 40 degrees Fahrenheit or above.
- Because the heat pump exhausts cool air into the room in which it is located, the water heater must be installed in a location that would isolate cool air or in a location that is ducted to the outside.
- Electric hybrid water heaters make about as much noise as an air conditioner. Consider this when making your purchase and placement decisions.
- Garages and unfinished (unconditioned) basements are ideal for hybrid water heaters.

- You must be a PSE electricity customer who currently heats their hot water with electricity
- Qualifying equipment models can be found here
- The new installed equipment must comply with all federal, state and local code requirements

Rebate requirements
- You will need an electronic image of your paid installation invoice and purchase receipt for your installed equipment. These documents must include an installation date, installation address, 品牌, model number(s) of all rebated equipment, and the amount paid.
- Your rebate application must be submitted within 60 days of installation.
- Only one rebate will be issued per qualified single-family residence.
- You must have an 在线 PSE account to apply 在线.
- 退税 are only available on new, qualifying equipment. 退税 cannot exceed the pre-tax purchase price of any rebated equipment. Equipment that is replaced under warranty will not be eligible for a second rebate.
- Equipment must be installed on or after January 1, 2024.
If applying for increased 效率 Boost rebates:
- All above requirements still apply.

开始 in one of two ways
In-store rebate
Receive an in-store instant discount at participating Lowe’s and The 首页 Depot locations. Please review our list of participating stores and typical retail/discount prices. Simply request your discount at clarasport.net/coupon at home or on your smartphone at the store, and you will be issued a coupon to use at the register.
If you believe you qualify for the increased 效率 Boost rebate, you will need to use the 在线 application below. The in-store coupon is not available for the 效率 Boost rebate amount.
Working with an Installer
You may wish to have your installer purchase your new heat pump water heater for you as part of their standard approach to projects. The installer can provide an instant rebate to you on their agreement with you for the installation. Or you can apply 在线 for a rebate. Post-purchase rebate
If you’ve already purchased your qualifying heat pump water heater and you did not receive a rebate, you can apply 在线 or via mail to claim your rebate.
